Accounts Payable Specialist [United States]

Summary of Position:

  • This position reports to the Accounts Payable Manager and is primarily responsible for ensuring the consistent and timely processing of vendor invoices for payment. This position is also responsible for delivery of quality service to vendors and the Accounting Department.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Work with multiple remote offices to obtain coding and approvals prior to processing invoices
  • Enter invoices into accounting system (Microsoft D365)
  • Verify vendor accounts by reconciling monthly statements and related transactions
  • Track/maintain outstanding invoices to create month-end accrual
  • Assist accounting team in other areas as needed

Education, Experience, and Qualification Requirements

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required
  • Previous experience in Accounts Payable preferred

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Microsoft D365 experience is preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word)
  • Previous Accounts payable experience is preferred
  • Trustworthy with items of a financial or confidential nature
  • High mathematical aptitude
  • Good grammar and spelling skills
  • Organizational skills
  • Analytical/Problem Solving Skills
  • Follows through in problem resolution
  • Ability to take ownership, accept feedback, and act upon direction
  • Ability to handle change in routine or workload; available to accommodate overtime as needed
