Program manager, Regional Offices Modern Workspace

Now Brewing – program manager, Regional Offices Modern Workspace! #tobeapartner

From the beginning, Starbucks set out to be a different kind of company. One that not only celebrated coffee and the rich tradition, but that also brought a feeling of connection. We are known for developing extraordinary leaders who share this passion and are guided by their service to others.

Are you passionate about leading large cross functional programs? Do you get excited thinking about flexible and hybrid work models, the future of the workplace, and all the components required to make these new ways of working successful? Do you embrace a growth mindset and the value in continuous learning? If so, we want to hear from you!

We are looking for an accomplished program manager to help us in leading the Modern Workspace program for our Regional Offices, driving the strategy and execution of a portfolio transforming how and where we work. As an organization, we are focused on fostering inclusive and accessible experiences for all partners that enable connection, collaboration, productivity, and community no matter where a partner is working. You will lead the orchestration of our Regional Office portfolio across teams, supporting the future strategy while also ensuring that current workstreams deliver on our aspiration -to create a 2nd place that inspires.

As a Regional Offices Program Manager for the Modern Workspace team, you will be responsible for…

  • Managing the Modern Workspace products and services portfolio, ensuring alignment of programs and projects across the physical, cultural, and digital pillars for our US/Canada Regional Offices. Working cross-functionally and in close partnership with our Partner Resources, Workplace Solutions (Facilities), Technology, and Public Affairs teams, and more, to develop integrated plans that include program deliverables, strategic alignment, stakeholder assessments, risks, assumptions, constraints, and overall program budget.
  • Leading and facilitating strategic planning sessions for the Regional Office programs that align on key problems to solve and set a clear vision for the future and support alignment of annual business and budget planning cycles. Conducting outreach to cross functional teams to ensure they are included in these planning and execution efforts.
  • Driving alignment and decisions through influencing decision makers and balancing risk and uncertainty across multiple projects, programs, and functions.
  • Championing and leading with a growth mindset, ensuring teams focus on problems to solve, setting a clear vision, creating one empowered team, choosing the right methods, and creating an environment where the team can do their best work.
  • Planning, organizing, and facilitation of programmatic meetings (i.e., program updates, project status reviews, leader alignment meetings, retrospectives, etc.).
  • Ensuring cohesive communication, training, and change management support and systems are in place, creating one voice no matter where the need originates (cultural, physical, or digital pillar).
  • Analyzing and evaluating interdependencies and their impacts to the program. Based on evaluation, you will be responsible for partnering with the program leads for each pillar to recommend interventions or changes to address the needs.
  • Shaping metrics and practices to measure the ongoing effectiveness of our partner experiences, products, and services, providing a point of view on what the indicators will be when it’s time to evolve the solution(s).
  • Monitoring program execution to ensure that key milestones and financial parameters are met and that projects are delivered effectively to achieve the overall goals and objectives.

We’d love to hear from people with:
  • Proven strategic program leader with demonstrated skill and experience working on complex large-scale transformational business or information technology programs, or programs with significant change leadership elements, 8 years
  • Ability to thrive in ambiguity, challenge paradigms to create solutions that haven’t existed before, and manage through a multitude of differing opinions and passion from leaders, 8 years
  • Strong systems thinking skills, seeking to understand the interconnectedness of the organizational system and ability to select the optimal levers to pull to drive desired outcome(s)
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills within multiple complex environments and teams who may have diverse viewpoints and need states
  • Application of industry-based project management methodologies and tools, 8 years
  • Building and mentoring teams, 8 years
  • Mentoring other project managers in program and project management, 6 years
  • General business experience in large, matrixed organizations, 8 years
